Arianna Huffington: The Debate Over Online News: It's the Consumer, Stupid

Instead of trying to hold back the future, I suggest that media execs read The Innovator's Dilemma by Clayton Christensen (since I keep mentioning the book and giving copies to friends, I'm thrilled that Christensen is now blogging for HuffPost), and see what he has to say about "disruptive innovation" and how, instead of resisting it, you can seize the opportunities it provides.Or go to any college, as I often do, and ask a group of students how many of them, during the campaign, saw Tina Fey doing Sarah Palin. It's usually 100 percent.

Then ask how many saw it on Saturday Night Live. It's usually no more than one or two. Yes, SNL could have said tune in to NBC Saturday Night at 11:30 or don't see it at all. But Lorne Michaels and Jeff Zucker obviously don't want to go the way of Rick Wagoner and his Detroit buddies.Delivering the keynote address at the Newspaper Association of America's annual conference on Tuesday, Google CEO Eric Schmidt cut right to the chase, telling the assembled newspaper men and women: "Try to figure out what your consumer wants.

If you piss off enough of them, you will not have any of them."After we posted the Charlie Rose segment, HuffPost commenter osage weighed in: "EVOLVE OR PERISH. If AP refuses to adapt to the demands of the internet marketplace, it will disappear just as surely as 5 1/4" floppy disks and public pay telephones have disappeared. Resistance is futile."I'd love to hear your take. Fire away in the comments section.

Would You Pay To Read Your Newspaper Online?

Would You Pay To Read Your Newspaper Online? by Rachelle Money,  Would You Pay To Read Your Newspaper Online?Newspapers are struggling to find a new business model for their online editions. Some have folded at the challenge and packed up the printing presses while others have thrown up pay walls. The only question editors want the answer to is, are readers prepared to pay for online content? It's the Sunday morning ritual shared by millions across the world. You trot down to the local newsagent and hand over a few dollars for a newspaper. When you get home you sift through the sections – fashion magazine, sports, international news, business and the TV guide – with each of your family taking their pick. Some of the more dedicated of you may purchase a newspaper every day but I'm guessing the majority (and I include myself) would rather log on to the laptop and read the same newspaper stories online for free.

This has resulted in many commentators accusing the online reader of contributing to the demise of print. It's no secret that the business model associated with print journalism has become as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike. Advertisers have been drifting away from newspapers, magazines and local publications for years now in favor of online platforms, and classified ads have gone online too – they were the newspapers' main source of income but is now disappearing. 'What now?' is the question on every media tycoon's lips.I was at the Guardian's Changing Media Summit in London the other week where the major players in UK media industry put their brains together to answer that very question.  Newspapers Online

Spring won't let me stay in this house any longer! I must get out and breathe the air deeply again

It is that time of year again, the birds are finally chirping outside and occasionally I am given the rare opportunity to crack a window and let the fresh air waft through. I am getting on in my years because the new fresh smells always stimulate my memory and guide me to a simpler time. I recall the days when mama would be doing the “wash”, she would bring the sheets in from the line, and they smelt just as I imagined it to be if you shoved your nose in a cloud.  Roofessions | Anonymous Confessions & Rants

Who Are The 5 Funniest People on Twitter? *Brevity is the soul of wit. At least, that's what Shakespeare tried to teach us - and he wasn't particularly brief about it. What would the poet have thought of Twitter, where every joke is 140 characters or less? Reversing Old Age By Turning Back the Clock Naturally

Healthy Aging & Turning Back the Clock The End of Old Age I’m not a big believer in magic bullets. Everything I’ve ever learned says that you’re only as strong as your weakest link. That’s why I’ve always preached that the key to health is raising your entire Baseline of Health. But that said, I have to admit that what we’re talking about here today is a uniquely important anti-aging discovery. What Is Aging? The best place to start is at the beginning. What is aging? What makes us age? There are actually many factors that contribute to old age (free radical damage, hormonal changes, etc.), but of all of the things that make us “old,” two things stand out because until now, they have been so untouchable: * The Hayflick Limit * The glycation of proteinsThe Hayflick Limit: Cell Life Span

Six Foods You Should Be Eating

Dear Friend,

By the time you are finished reading this page, you will know exactly why and what type of nutritional supplement you should use as part of your daily health regimen.

We all know that everyone wants to live a long and healthy life. But managing a rigid dietary and exercise regimen to make it so is far from easy.

The best way to "cheat" is to use a high-quality nutritional supplement on a daily basis. Let's face it, it is far easier to take a powerful daily supplement than to avoid fried and processed foods, eat spinach around the clock, and spend 2 hours a day exercising at the gym.

If you are concerned about your health, then you are probably already taking a multi-vitamin. This is a good starting point, if the manufacturer of your multi-vitamin uses high-quality natural ingredients and the right delivery system to ensure the nutrients are properly absorbed by the body.

Inside Paul's Brain - Internet Marketing ideas, make money online thoughts.

Am I a weird twit? By Pauls Brain I am thinking that maybe I am a twitter anomaly, some of the things I do seem to be against the grain and certainly against the things that others are doing and possibly teaching.- I don’t follow people I don’t know, if I do follow them and all they do is post links I unfollow-I don’t follow all the “gurus” just because they are considered to be “gurus” -I don’t think size counts, number of followers doesn’t matter it is what you do for them that matters.-If every tweet has a link in it I will just unfollow, this to me is the equivalent of people who have a mailing list and just email them some rubbish offer every day.Twitter has great potential to share info about yourself and what you are doing and your thoughts but if all you are looking for is somewhere else to throw links to the latest resale rights rubbish then please don’t bother.Use it to try and allow people to build up an image of you and your brand, don’t just look on it as a place to sell stuff to saps, I know that sounds harsh but it is how a lot of people seem to look on it.If you haven’t already downloaded it feel free to get a copy of my free twitter guide Feel free to follow me on twitter @paul_forcey

Blogging instructions Wizzer Says Goal setting

Many Blogging Beginners now have their sites live and I thought it was time to discuss “goal setting” in the context of giving some blogging instructions. Each of us has a certain amount of time available to allocate to our blogs BUT I’m going to make a bold and outrageous suggestion here…… part of the time we have available is wasted. I’d go as far as saying a huge percentage of the time available is simply frittered away by most of us. I talked about dangerous assumptions on my Guru Fodder blog the other day so I’m not going to get into that conversation with you now but let’s just assume for a moment that I’m right.

What I mean is this.Let’s say we have 2 hours a day to work on our sites. We turn on the PC. Let’s check our emails before we get started. There’s one from Buddy with a link to a YouTube video. Without thinking we follow the link and watch it. That was funny - oh look, right next to it there’s another video with the same guy - let’s check that out.

10 things not to do in a recession

10 things not to do in a recessionBy Sarah ModlockIt's now unofficially official: we are in a recession. There is so much hype, so much information, and yet the way forward is far from clear. While the right thing to do may be different for everyone, there are quite a few wrong turns which could make your financial worries worse right now - and all the more so as we head to a traditionally expensive time of year. Here's 10 ways to make sure the recession doesn't get the better of you.

1. Panic stations

It's not the British way to get over-excited, but even the coolest heads can find it hard to maintain a steady approach to the current turmoil. Whatever you decide to do, don't do it in too much of a hurry. Keeping in touch with latest developments will help you judge how and when to take action. For instance, with the Icelandic banks, there was a small window after one was nationalised and the others were in the spotlight. Those who moved their money out in that fortnight are glad they did. At the other end of the spectrum could be decisions about your home. If you're struggling with mortgage payments, start talking to your lender rather than rushing around for loans to cover your arrears.

Add Google Friend Connect to Your FriendFeed Lifestream | Technology Goddess

Add Google Friend Connect to Your FriendFeed Lifestream
by Erika

Adding Google Friend Connect activity to your FriendFeed is not hard to do when you know a few “work around” tricks, and I can show you how to get it done in 10 easy steps! The challenge is that FriendFeed does not allow Google Friend Connect to be added to its’ stream yet and that your Google Friend Connect Feed that goes through Plaxo is not able to be read by FriendFeed, Facebook etc…

I have to say with a little bit of an evil chuckle, that by adding your Google Friend Connect to your FriendFeed, and having the FriendFeed app enabled in Facebook, you can now feed your Google Friend Connect activity straight into Facebook for all your Facebook friends to see… And since Facebook has made it so damn hard to integrate THEIR Friend Connect app on the average users blog, you will likely have some of your jealous Facebook friends climb out of the walled garden to come and play with you in the real world. *wink*

Here is a Handy Little 5 minute video i created that walks you through the feed setup:Below the Video you will find the text tutorial.

Hi readers posters chair dwellers far n'wide ... for the past 5 to 6 years I have replaced my office chair probably 4 or 5 times not necessary because I needed to because I never really felt comfortable and used to be restless shifting from one position to the next?

Then about a year ago I started having trouble with my knees and because my main and favorite hobby is walking and I really do walk a lot my knees every time I stood up were really painful, well lucky enough I have a friend in the therapy world Dennis Bartram, even though he had warned me on numerous occasions about sitting at my computer for long periods of time would not benefit my posture or movability even ever lasting Age'ility Ability...

I listened but thought that would only be for office workers who don't really exercise ... wow how wrong I was its sitting that causes most knee complaints as we age! ... so apart from a good chair ... exercise is essential to better wealth healthy wellbeing especially of those knees so that's exactly what this website outlines above is very important after all you can buy as many chairs you want through out your life ... but you guessed it ??? … Nuff Said?

50 of the world's best food blogs - Times Online

This list comprises 50 of our favourite food blogs but is by no means exhaustive.
1. Orangette The ultimate food lovers' blog. The seductive powers of food writing are not to be underestimated - Molly Wizenberg’s words even helped to find her a husband. I cooked for almost 12 hours straight after discovering this blog - recipes range from the simple to the delectable: tomato sauce, hasselback potatoes, chickpea salad, chocolate granola. Wizenberg redeems the most uninteresting food – her cabbage gratin is one of my culinary hits of the year.
2. Cannelle et Vanille The recipes say it all: salted caramel ice-cream, roasted fig frozen mousse, lemon verbena with chamomile crème brulee. This visually stunning site was started by Spanish pastry chef Aran Goyoaga in January last year to satisfy her career-break cravings. Even a snacky peek explains its overnight success.
3. The Wednesday Chef New York-based Luisa Weiss started this blog as a way of documenting her trawl through clippings of recipes from the New York and LA Times. A mix of recipes and humorous anecdotes - her boyfriend thinks he is pre-hypertensive so she reduces the salt to avoid confronting the issue of male hypochrondria - it's a charming blog packed with information (indeed, a whole 700 words about coleslaw).

17 Ways You Can Use Twitter: A Guide for Beginners, Marketers and Business Owners

There’s been a great deal of articles on how Twitter can be used for marketing purposes and I think most of them can be condensed to the simple aim of tracking and directing attention. Twitter allows you to monitor how influencer's think or feel, you can also get into their attention zone via active networking. For businesses, Twitter is another channel which connects current and potential customers with your product or brand. It allows deeply infiltration into the lifestyles of interested participants, which helps to build brand persistence/loyalty.In its most obvious form, Twitter can be seen as a traffic generation tool.

The placement of links within profiles and conversations can direct visitors to a specific website and is especially powerful if you pitch to early adopters and influencer's.As a lead acquisition tool, it doesn’t always reach the audience you want. Most Twitter users are somewhat web savvy and it is extremely difficult to target a specific subset of the general demographic and determine their level of potential interest. As there isn’t an option to advertise within Twitter (unlike Facebook), Twitter marketing is a task that involves two-way audience engagement, on the part of the marketer or business owner. In a way, this is a good thing. The Problem With Twitter 17 Ways You Can Use Twitter: A Guide for Beginners, Marketers and Business Owners

Loose Lips: You Know Exactly What They Do to Ships

Despite the obvious benefits of Web 2.0, the largely unregulated world of social media also poses some unique challenges for companies concerned about a host of issues ranging from legal liability to corporate branding.

What to do? In The e-Policy Handbook, Nancy Flynn recommends a formal blogging policy with clearly defined rules like these:

Institute safeguards for trade secrets and corporate relationships. Don't assume an employee knows which content is—and is not—fair game for a blog post.

Prohibit anonymous blogging. "Anonymity creates an atmosphere in which some people might be tempted to write in an irresponsible, offensive harassing, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate manner," she says. "It also runs counter to the blogosphere's honest and transparent nature."

Provide guidance on media inquiries. Many journalists will contact bloggers in the course of writing a story. According to Flynn, a common corporate policy asks bloggers to direct all media inquiries to the organization's public-relations department.

The Po!nt: "Put best practices to work by focusing on the 3-Es of blog risk management," says Flynn. "Establish policy, educate employees and enforce policy with discipline and monitoring technology."

3 Free Keyword Tools You Can Really Use To Get More Traffic!. Internet Marketing Blog

News and information for online web publishing professionals!
3 Free Keyword Tools You Can Really Use To Get More Traffic!
Filed under: Keyword Research, Traffic by mike |

I have some helpful information on 3 free tools that you can really use!

1. AUKDAT – for finding keyword density and more!
2. Typo Generator – you’ll be amazed at this one!
3. Keyword Manager – scrubs, combines, wraps, rearranges and more!

1. First and foremost is the incredible and free AUKDAT!

The Article Underground Keyword Density Analyzer Tool.

You’ll want to bookmark this free tool because AUKDAT is great to use to find out WHAT WORDS are on your individual web pages. That’s powerful info – right???

Think about it – why guess what keywords are best to link – use AUKDAT to find out which KEYWORD PHRASES appear most often and link these in text links in as many places as you can (ideally externally on other web sites – but of course – INTERNAL LINKS are good too!!!

Ahhhh…. keywords in link text… yes – that is a secret weapon we can use to get MORE FREE TRAFFIC!

This is far more powerful than it may appear on the surface, because not only does AUKDAT show you the “single keywords” that are on your analyzed URL – BUT – it will also show you the TWO WORD PHRASES and THREE WORD PHRASES that are on your web page and tell you how many times they appear!

In fact – you can also use AUKDAT to help you find keywords on your web page that do NOT appear often enough. Simply add the phrase a few more times on your page in sentences, resource boxes and links, and the keyword density goes up! This is another powerful secret weapon that will get you more rankings for your page! ADD MORE WORDS! It’s easy to do with AUKDAT!

It only takes a few seconds to analyze your web page and find out the keyword density of the words on your page.

This can be really powerful because NOW you can instantly find the BEST keywords that really are on your web pages and use them for your LINK TEXT! Ahhhh yes – link text – and Google loves to see KEYWORDS in your link text that REALLY appear on your web pages!

Trust me on this – when Google sees links pointing at your pages that have the EXACT keyword phrases that appear on your pages – you’ll start to see rankings like you have never seen before! And not only will you get traffic and rankings for that exact phrase – BUT – Google is really smart and will also start ranking you for LONG TAIL variations as it gives you SUPER POWERS for the words it sees in your LINK TEXT – whether on their own or combined with OTHER words Google sees on your pages.

This is an often overlooked BONUS EFFECT which you will see once you start creating keyword rich text links using a wide variety of keywords that really appear on your pages!

There is a video on that page which explains how to use the keyword tool.

Get Your MIND OUT of The BOX!

Ever feel like your mind is stuck in a box... and you are not really in control of your actions? You know what I mean. You want to lose some weight... but all of a sudden you have an uncontrollable craving for cookies, chips and ice cream.
Or you want to
exercise , but keep forgetting to put your gym clothes in the car.

What causes this interference with your good intentions? The same part of you that TV ads use to program your actions -- your subconscious mind.

Your subconscious mind determines most of what you do -- whether you like it or not. But celebrities like Tiger Woods and Anthony Robbins say subliminal messages are a key part of their success. And if they can use subliminal messages to help them, so can you!

A really great way to do this is to flash positive subliminal messages on your computer while you work, surf the Internet, write letters, or play games.

Your conscious mind can't comprehend these messages, but your subconscious instantly soaks them up. Just customize the messages for what YOU want to change: Lose weight, gain confidence, quit smoking... the choice is yours.

Harness the power of your subconscious mind to make the changes you want in your life.

You really need to write your own content, to update your blog on a regular basis

Face it, writing good, unique, quality content takes time. If you want to optimize your site’s SEO and indexability, it’s vital that you have unique content. Using private label resell content may get you some ideas, but you still need to reword your article by at least 30% so the search engines will consider a unique.

If you’ve never used speech recognition software before, I think you’re going to be amazed by how much time you can save by talking your concepts, ideas, and thoughts into your favorite word processing program and having your ideas come to life at the speed of sound.

It’s human nature to think and speak. Thinking and writing can be a more complicated process. Once you have an idea or concept in your head is simply a matter of putting on your headphones and speaking in your natural voice as you watch the words that you’re speaking as almost magically appear on your page.
Personally, I’m a Mac guy. While I run virtual machines on my Mac to run programs that will only run on a PC, 95% of the work that I do is all based on the Mac, so I’m actually writing this article with a program called MacSpeech Dictate. Not only can you speak words that are transcribed, but you can also control 80-90% of the commands that you usually use a keyboard and mouse for, with your voice.  How to write a unique 519 word article in less than 16 minutes at the speed of sound

TweeterGetter .::. Get 15,625 New Twitter Followers In 30 Days!

So you're looking to get a massive following on twitter?Just ONE TWEET can make it happen, but before I show you how, answer the quick question below...Imagine you got 1 twitter follower today, and that number doubled every day for 1 month, how many followers do you think you would have?Answer now: 1,000 10,000 10 millionThe correct answer is: Over 10 million followers! Now, that's not likely to happen, but you can exploit this same viral phenomenon to generate thousands of real twitter followers in next to no time at all!So how does this system work? The concept is simple, when you retweet the message in the form below, you will automatically start following the 6 people in front of you in the system.

A message posted on your twitter will automatically be formated with your unique link. Meaning that when people follow through to this site, they will have to follow you in position 1 to use the system themselves. Now when those people refer others via their link, their new followers will also follow you in position 2 and so on down 5 levels deep. By the time you reach the 5th position, you will have thousands, if not tens of thousands of new twitter followers... and it NEVER stops growing!A quick example...

The Socratic Method To Great Living (5 Simple Steps) | Zen Habits

How many people in your life do you know that wish for love, happiness, and success? I think this is a ‘no-duh’ commonality between the vast majority of the global population. I think all three of these three things are great, and I’d like for everyone who wants them to achieve them. The only problem is… people should not only be careful of what they wish for, but know what they’re wishing for. This means to whip out a dictionary and a piece of paper and thoroughly define what each of these words means for you. If you have a misrepresentation of these words in your mind, you’re going to make some huge regrettable mistakes in life.

1. Love. A quick search pulls up “a deep feeling of sexual desire and attraction.” Imagine a person that goes through life by internalizing this as their definition of love. They could easily end up in an abusive relationship with a person they are infatuated with, and stay with them even though they are miserable, because they want love.Even though it’s an unhealthy relationship, it fits into their definition of love, so they remain confused, and attached, because this is what feels right for them.

2. Happiness. Some people might consider happiness as having some laughs, others might consider it as achieving some goals, while others settle for the definition of ‘nothing went wrong today.’The way I define happiness is “being the creator of your experience, choosing to take pleasure in what you have, right now, regardless of the circumstances, while being the best you that you can be.” As it turns out, my definition is centered around the journey, not around the accomplishment, so I can take pleasure in waking up and existing each day, instead of being miserable because I don’t have a ferrari yet.

3. Success. A quick search shows success to mean “a state of prosperity or fame.” I can see why a lot of people would be depressed if they wanted to be successful and this was their idea of success. Perhaps it is possible for everyone in the world to be rich and famous, but in reality that isn’t the way our world is currently structured.Perhaps it would be ‘wiser’ to define success as something else. Something that doesn’t come for nothing, but is accessible to everyone regardless of any circumstances. I would define success as “constant and never ending improvement”. If you set goals for yourself, and you take time each day, to work towards your goals, then you are successful in my book.At the end of the day, the questions we ask of ourselves determine the type of people that we will become…

The Crash Course Ready to learn everything you need to know about the economy in the shortest amount of time?

Distribute Crash Course DVDsOur number one passion at ChrisMartenson.com is spreading the messages of the Crash Course to as many human beings as we possibly can. We sincerely believe that the best thing we can do for our country and the world is to escalate public awareness of these issues so that they become a subject of public discussion and debate. The Crash Course was first published exclusively online at ChrisMartenson.com, and the growth in site traffic has been nothing short of explosive. We're now seeing more than 10,000 site visitors daily, and suddenly ChrisMartenson.com is one of the busiest finance-related web sites on the Internet. That growth has all occurred as a result of word-of-mouth advertising.

We want to encourage that trend to continue to grow into a massive, viral grassroots movement that puts the messages of the Crash Course at the top of the public discussion agenda. There are several ways you can help us put the word out. If you're so inclined, you can even make money for your efforts. This page describes the details of our viral distribution plan for the Crash Course DVD. Let's first review the success factors that got us to the point we are now, and then consider some new options we're making available: * Word of mouth.

One of the best things you can do to help our cause is just to tell everyone you know about the crash course. e-mail them a link to www.ChrisMartenson.com/crashcourse, or tell them face to face. This is the primary way the word has been passed around to date, and we owe the success of the site to those of you who have helped spread the word

* Public mention. A whole lot of readers have been posting links to ChrisMartenson.com on finance and political web sites, e-mailing TV news shows, and generally speaking up wherever they can. This has been so fantastically successful that we've organized a volunteer group called the Martenson Brigade for people who want to help in this way and have fun collaborating with others while doing so.

* Give the Crash Course DVD to your friends. As this page will describe, we've made it incredibly easy to either buy or make your own Crash Course DVDs. It's a simple law of human nature that if you give a person a DVD, they are much more likely to actually watch it than if you just mention the existence of a web site to them in passing. We're passionate about getting this message out to as many people as we possibly can, so we've made it really easy for you with the DVD version of the Crash Course.

* Sell Crash Course DVDs for a profit. We recognize that to expect people to spend time and money buying or making their own DVDs only to give them away for free is asking a lot, and we want to inspire a lot of people to really put the message out in a big way. So we've designed a new program where you can sell crash course DVDs and even make some money for your effort! The full details are on this page. We realize that some of you don't want to view this as a money-making thing, and we hope you'll consider the other options above. But we also know that providing a financial incentive is a good way to really motivate more people to help spread the word. Here's a 5-minute video (which also appears on the DVD itself) introducing our distribution plan:

tag, the meta keywords and descriptions, Search Engine Optimization Services Galore! Are you wasting time trying to get your website to the top of the search engine results in Google, Yahoo, MSN and Ask?If you have a website and don't get enough traffic, then you need to work on your Search Engine Optimization or SEO for short.SEO includes having a properly tuned website, and an ongoing marketing and promotion plan to drive more traffic to your webiste. Are you using Web 2.0 technology to increase visitors and stickiness to your site? Not sure what SEO is? Watch this video that answers the question What is SEO?There are two types of SEO. On Page, and Off Page.On Page SEOOn page SEO includes all the factors you can control on your website, including use of the tags, keyword density, latent semantics in your text and more. As time progresses, search engines (especially Google) rely on these SEO optimizations less and less, because they can be "gamed".

Therefore, off page SEO optimizations are becoming more and more important.Off Page SEO Off page SEO refers to how the rest of the world wide web views your website. Issues like who is linking to you (good neighbor or bad?), what page(s) they link to, and what anchor text (the text in the actual click-able link to your site) leads to your site are all factors.Off page optimization is harder to control, but there are several things you can do to help your off page SEO score. These are detailed here.Internet TrainingThis site also offers both basic Internet Training (for free!) as well as some advanced training to help you get the most out of your website.

10 Skills You Need to Succeed at Almost Anything - Stepcase Lifehack

What does it take to succeed? A positive attitude? Well, sure, but that’s hardly enough. The Law of Attraction? The Secret? These ideas might act as spurs to action, but without the action itself, they don’t do much.Success, however it’s defined, takes action, and taking good and appropriate action takes skills. Some of these skills (not enough, though) are taught in school (not well enough, either), others are taught on the job, and still others we learn from general life experience.Below is a list of general skills that will help anyone get ahead in practically any field, from running a company to running a gardening club. Of course, there are skills specific to each field as well – but my concern here is with the skills that translateacross disciplines, the ones that can be learned by anyone in any position.

Books Are Great Web Content Sources : SEO Book.com

Hi readers posters better info seekers one n'all I chuckled when I read this post by Aaron Wall  ... especially this paragraph  ... "When you are fairly new to the web, if you have a lot of free time, one of the best ways to come up with new content ideas is to read books in other industries and relate some of their key points to your own industry" ... Simply because at last after the best part of years of trying this and implementing almost every tactic received in my in-box from what now is termed "Guru's" I've been loyally following waiting for that golden opportunity to do nothing but sign up, purchase, and promote to the promise to earn big bucks simply by being buzzed by all the razzle dazzle  of all the bling!! ... WHY the chuckle you might be thinking? ...

... Simply this in my so many years on the marketing trail of the trial & errors route I've never seemed to have the luxury of free time to enjoy the pleasures of free my-time? ... Ive been so bizzy chasing down ways to promote, learning new ways, to promote, getting my offers to-be-seen, also trying to keep up with the ever changing web-ways ... then my mentor Chris Moos finally got around to sharing one of his major habits to his success ... I almost felt sick when he Finally Revealed  STUDY http://www.seobook.com/ + *TOOLS* = SUCCESS  ... so that's a book that you will never have enough time to master the key points to your own industries Key-Words & Key-Word-Phrases when I think of all that time I've wandered in here and played around like a kid in a toy-shop instead of realizing how close Ive been all this time to understanding where my own successful formula has been waiting for me to Grow Up!!! ... Keep up the good work Aaron this site as most successful marketers already know is the key to ever-ones online success no matter where you are on your own ladder! ... even before the product formulations ... now that's a Key Word Sentence and a half lol (-;   Books Are Great Web Content Sources : SEO Book.com

All my best to you and yours

Twine is a smarter way to keep up with what you’re into

Twine what is it? ... Common Questions  you should think about as you join in the best social networking system available

Keep Up with What You are Into – Twine is a smarter way to keep track of your interests

People use Twine to keep track of their interests. Twine is a new way for you to collect online content – videos, photos, articles, Web pages, products - and bring it all together by topic, so you can have it in one place and share it with anyone you want.

That is the beauty of Twine. It helps you collect information in a new, highly personalized, convenient way. You can use Twine alone, with friends, groups and communities, or even in your company.

And Twine is smart. It’s powered by semantic understanding, which means Twine gets to know you. It automatically learns about your interests and makes connections and recommendations tailored to you. The best part: The more you use Twine, the more useful it becomes.

Twine ties it all together

What’s a bookmarklet?

A bookmarklet is a convenient tool that you add to your browser. Use it to grab web pages, videos, photos, products, or articles, and send them automatically to your Twines.

How do I get the Twine bookmarklet if I use Safari?

Along the top of your Safari browser there is a Bookmarks Bar. (If you can’t see it, make sure under View you select Show Bookmarks Bar.) Just drag and drop the blue Add To Twine button into your Bookmarks Bar. That’s it. There’s nothing to install.

How do I get the Twine bookmarklet if I use Firefox?

Along the top of your Firefox browser there is a Bookmarks Toolbar. (If you can’t see it, go to View, select Toolbars, and make sure Bookmark Toolbar is checked.) Just drag and drop the blue Add To Twine button into your Bookmarks Toolbar. That’s it. There’s nothing to install.

How do I get the Twine bookmarklet if I use Internet Explorer?

Make sure your links bar is visible. (If you don’t see it, right click on your browser toolbar and select Links Bar to display it.) Right click on the blue Add To Twine button and select Add to Favorites. That’s it, but you may have to enable pop-ups for the bookmarklet to work properly.

Note: Add To Twine may be hidden from view if you have a lot of bookmarks in your Links folder. To ensure Add To Twine is always visible, click Favorites, then Organize Favorites from your browser menu bar. Then drag Add To Twine to the top of the Links list.

How do I use the Twine bookmarklet?

When you come across something online – an item that you want to save to one of your twines – you can click on Add To Twine in your browser’s toolbar and the item will be added to Twine. This is the easiest way to collect anything of interest and fill your twines with relevant, topical items.

Here’s an example: Lets say you’re planning a trip to England and you start a twine specifically about London. When you’re online, you find London restaurant reviews, public transit schedules, video tours of the British Museum, and photos of the London Bridge at night. To save these and use them for your travels, click Add To Twine and the web page, video, photo, product, or article you’re looking at will get added to your London twine.

Where did the advanced bookmarklet go?

Keyword Research to SEO Strategy

The SEO Pro's Secret Path
by Mark Nunney,

The SEO Pro's Secret Path Your Search Engine Optimization (SEO) should focus on achieving success for the keywords that will deliver the most profit. That seems obvious but how do you find and prioritize those keywords? SEO pro, Mark Nunney, introduces the process so you can apply it to your own site.

Key points
* Find groups of keywords (keyword niches) that your target customers search with.
* Research each keyword niche - its size, the competition, your site's current traffic and sales from it.
* Compare and prioritize your target niches in order of profitability.
* Your prioritized list of keyword niches is your SEO strategy.

Before they do any work on a site, professional SEOs use keyword research to find the groups of keywords - the keyword niches - they want to target. Then they prioritize those niches and the result is their SEO strategy. The path I take includes the following steps:
* Find relevant keyword niches
* Evaluate your keyword niches
* Prioritize your keyword niches Let's look at that in some more detail...
Find possible keywords and niches Find groups of keywords (keyword niches) that your target customers search for using the following methods: * Read the trade press * Look at competing websites
* Look at your site’s existing traffic – what keywords bring the most sales?
* Use your own market and product knowledge
* Enter significant keywords into Wordtracker’s lateral research tool Wordtracker's lateral search tool Here’s how to use Wordtracker’s lateral search feature - the excellent ‘Related Keywords’ tool - for finding more possible niches to target…From the Wordtracker home page, go to the Keyword Universe tool:

Yes, it is called "the AWESOME"

I have a confession to make.

Do you want to know the real reason why I have spent so much time mastering video and audio?

I totally fear writing.

My spelling is atrocious! Grammar, virtually non-existent and of course I get words that sound alike mixed up.

In my year 12 exams (the equivalent of SAT's or O levels)  I failed English. Normally, that would have meant that I failed my high school diploma and would not qualify to go to university.

(Fortunately, I was pretty darn good at physics. They figured, that I must know something and it gave me an exception and I passed.)

Another confession, for all  my geek skills I can't type. Over the years I have developed a sort of  hybrid  typing system. Trouble is, I'm really slow and given how much I try to do it really is a great weakness.

Hence, getting good at audio and video. I don't have to type or spell then!

 NOW, that has all changed!

Thanks to  Mac speech dictate, I can write reports with the best of them (today, I am going to give you a link to my very first effort.)

Here's the point.

You may be really concerned about product creation,

I was scared witless trying to do any sort of  report! But I figured, if I am going to teach you guys the best, the fastest, and the easiest ways to create products. I had to show you that even I (with the right tools!) can earn this stuff to.

First up, check out the report. Here is the link;

http://media.thirtydaychallengeplus.com/theawesomebest.pdf

(yes, it is called "the AWESOME" -- this is a joke, rather than a statement of fact although I figure if I call it that it holds me to a higher standard!)

So, how did I do it?

The first thing I did was go through the process in real life taking screen-shots as I went (there are some killer cheap or free tools you can use to do this).

This gave me a structure. I then went to my trusty livescribe notebook and sketched out a quick mind map of what I want to say (of course, in the 30 DC plus, we will be showing you how to do all of this).

Time taken to  this point -- 20 minutes.

I then fired up one of my favorite new programs -- "write room" -- it's ingenious, in its simplicity. It darkens out your screen, gets rid of all the distractions and focuses you on writing.

For the longest time,  this is where I would freeze up.

Enter MacSpeech Dictate (Dragon dictate, is the PC equivalent).
This is speech recognition program. This type of program used to suck!

Now, they are beyond awesome. With about 30 minutes training and a decent microphone its recognition of what you're saying is uncanny.

I spent, two hours dictating out that report. Think about it, two hours to create a report that will circulate around the Internet for ages. That's Leverage.

Then I let it sit overnight. Each day, for the next two days I would spend half an hour editing (I fear to call it that because I'm sure sharp listeners/readers will pick up a few spelling errors  here and there!)

How did I make the report look that good? It must have taken you hours!

Nope, it took 30 minutes.

I shouldn't be really telling you this because it's such a cool secret weapon. I used a program on the Macintosh called PAGES and I used one of the professionally designed templates.

I grabbed Paul Young's brilliant photos of the over the edge conference in Orlando and just dragged them into place.

Let it sit overnight, (that trick was taught to me by Gary Halbert)  made small changes, created the PDF (another automatic function inside of pages)

Hey presto! My first report was created.

http://media.thirtydaychallengeplus.com/theawesomebest.pdf

Creating content, making products and looking after your market places is not a gift.

It is an easily learned skill.

That is what 30 DC plus it is all about.

After two years of planning, next week, we will open up 30 PC plus to its first founding members. These members will get a locked in price (which my accountants tell me is crazy.) That will set a new standard for value/price performance.

Right now, in this economy, this information is vital. I'm not going to let price get in the way of you creating your own business online.

Enjoy the report, I'm going to get a cup of tea.

Ed Dale
